Train Simulator: LGV: Marseille - Avignon Route Add-On Activation Key Download

Updated: Mar 12, 2020

About This Content The high speed railways of France, dominated by the iconic TGV® Duplex, are brought to life in the breathtaking new Ligne Grande Vitesse: Marseille Saint-Charles to Avignon-TGV route for Train Simulator.Construction of the LGV Méditerranée began in 1996, designed as a dedicated high speed line that spans over 160 miles to connect the South-East of France to the nation’s capital, Paris. The LGV Méditerranée extends from the end of the LGV Rhône-Alpes in Valence and terminates at Marseille via Avignon and Aix-en-Provence.Opened in 2001, the LGV Méditerranée is operated by SNCF® with TGV Duplex high speed trains, operating on the 25kV AC catenary system, capable of reaching 320 km/h. These revolutionary high speed trains slashed journey times to the South coast of France with TGVs now handling the vast majority of all journeys in France, covering some 750 km (470 miles) in around 3 hours – faster than some domestic airlines. The line serves a total of 4 stations, featuring three purpose-built structures, the Gare de Valence TGV, a uniquely built multi-level station allowing easy transfer between the high speed and local services, Gare d’Avignon TGV, made popular by its close proximity to Avignon city centre and Gare d'Aix-en-Provence TGV, allowing easy travel into the north of Marseille and Marseille Airport, accessible by regular bus services. The final station is Marseille-Saint-Charles - a terminus station previously built to serve the surrounding area and the French Riviera, access to this station is via the classic French main lines.Due to the undulating nature of Southern France’s terrain, the LGV Méditerranée features many steep inclines and declines, not to mention the impressive number of vast cuttings, tunnels and viaducts that traverse the landscape, the longest tunnel being over 8 km (5 Miles) long. Not only is the outstanding scenery a wonder to behold, the LGV Med. regularly sees 300 – 320 km/h operation providing a fast, reliable service with the beautiful southern France countryside flying past the upper and lower windows. The route is equipped with the TVM430 (Transmission Voie-Machine) signalling system, a revolutionary in-cab signalling system designed for operating high speed trains in high capacity. Conventional signalling is not practical for very high speed routes, as drivers have very little time to see and react to what flies past the windscreen. TVM430 displays information in the cab telling the driver what speed he should be travelling at, without the need for conventional track-side equipment.Included with the 100km Marseille to Avignon high speed route is the iconic TGV Duplex in SNCF livery.ScenariosBAL Signalling TutorialTVM430 Signalling TutorialMarseille Saint-Charles to AvignonAvignon to Marseille Saint-CharlesAix-en-Provence to Marseille DepotAix-en-Provence TGV to Avignon TGVAvignon TGV to Marseille Saint-CharlesMore scenarios are available on Steam Workshop online and in-game. Couple of weeks later, rode back to Paris, fast as it seemed, suddenly sounding like a jet taking off.... we were travelling at 187mph. Looking at the passing scenery from the window, hurts your eyes as your brain cannot keep up with the scenery change, i.e., overpass, you see it in front, by the time you turn to look at your right, it's already gone. Weird, and wonderful. Glad to see this train on Train Simulator. thank the train gods.. Where are the Eurostar 374s & 373s?. The pros:- Good detailed TGV Duplex, looks the part- Good detailed Route- Finally, a TGV! And LGV! - The signalling system is well done, also the manual is quite comprehensiveThe cons:- The Duplex had a bit too much power, it shouldn't accelerate this fast- The braking system is completely shot. The dynamic brake doesn't really work which forces you to use air brakes at 300 km\/h. Braking is a pain.- The pantograph system isn't entirely accurate (but that could be a limitation of Rail Simulator itself), I managed to get power from the 1,5 kV DC overhead catenary while the 25 kV LGV pantograph setting was selected- Haven't really managed to figure out the cruise control, when I press Y or C I do get a message "Enabled" or "DIsabled" but no indication what speed I set. People have also complained about the short route and the lack of other trains, but I personally am very happy that they finally did a French route. With this kind of speed the route will seem short, and going to Valence or Lyon would have been fun but that's quite the distance (maybe in the future).I still recommend this DLC though. I had fun, and my biggest complaint\/wish is that they do a patch to fix the braking system. EDIT: Apparently there has been a patch, the dynamic brake now works better than before. The acceleration while using cruise control is a bit weak, howver (of course you can do it by hand and change to cruise control later). The cruise control responds a bit sluggish, although I've managed to find out where the speed indication is (next to the speedometer). If you also have the London-Faversham addon you of course can use the TGV Duplex over there as well (not entirely accurate but at least you'll have another TVM430 capable train besides the class 395 and the class 92).. Not a bad track, BUT, if I understand the track signs correctly, in Marseille, you should not drive at 25kV LGV, but the train gets power nevertheless. Dynamic brake doesn't work for me (I must click and hold the lever to make it work) and after I triggered emergency brake, after release, there was constantly weak braking force remaining and braking indicator on dashbord was flashing irregurarly. And the track length is pretty short for 30\u20ac.Edit: Dynamic brake works only if cruise control is off. I get that, but at 320 kph, if I'm requested to reduce speed, it takes seconds to turn it off and precise speed setting on cruise control is impossible due to 'setting lag'. On top of that, cruise control doesn't apply brakes at all, it only holds speed if throttle is set and on severe gradients you'll get points off because 320 setting maintain exactly 320 without brakes.Edit 2: Dynamic brake under cruise control is only applied if you don't apply power. Gradient problem solved. After 2 drives, I recommend this only to fans, train control, especially brakes are clunky at best.Edit 3: KVB doesn't work or I operate it poorly. When alarm flashes, I press Q, nothing happens and emergency brakes are applied.Edit4: If you change cabs with brakes applied, you can't release brakes fully on other end. Missing feature that are present in longer Just Trains route: Circuit breaker, driver operation switch.. Rode the TGV from Paris to Switzerland, Jan, 1985 Seemed fast, but not the reported 187mph (maybe 145-150). Weird, and wonderful. Glad to see this train on Train Simulator. thank the train gods.. The TGV Train is great looking and the sound of it is really good. The route has very great scenery too.you can drive up to 320 km\/h which is really cool but it is a bit challenging to keep the right speed with all the gradients and alltitude changes. everything is good except there are some bugs, sometimes when a emergency brake turns on, the brake won't release and at some points on the route the AMP meter goes to 0, and your can't drive normally anymore. It dosen't have to be a bug. It can be a simulation of some kind of electricity saving system, but i don't know. If you just don't brake to much and release the brake in time, you'll be fine.. Well overall not too bad but for 40 bucks id say its a no go. Id pay at MOST 25-30. The route looks great and so does the Duplex however keep in mind the run takes around 20 minutes to complete, so its not lengthy at all. Although at the speeds the TGV is moving its understable why. However I cannot recommend this route at all to anyone until the cab shake is fixed, its is abosulteley unacceptbale for that to happen. How did they test the route and think that charging 40 bucks with that shaking going on was okay, do they even care what there putting out?!? Don't get me wrong its not even like alittle bouncing (although that does happen along the rest of the route even though it shouldnt on a TGV) but that I can deal with. In certain spots the train will actually start leaping up and down, almost like an earthquake. What on earth were they thinking? Great train and great route but the glitches and short ride really spoil it for me. 7\/10. !PATCH NEEDED ASAP!. This was a nice and long waited route and train. If you like high speed trains this route is for you.Of course there is not much "action" since it's a high speed train but i love it. The only negative i have for this is that when you are going very fast, you can see the trees in the far popping up cause they didn't have enoigh time to render. Overall it's a nice route and i hope for more French routes in the future. I recommend maybe with sale if you don't want to spend much.P.S. This route has achievements and it's fairly possible to get them all.. First of all the dynamic brake is waaay too weak. It barely slows the train down and I have to apply the normal brake to slow me down enough before I pass the next signal. I don't think the normal brakes should be used at 300 km\/h. It's shaking too much. Especially in the tunnel. It's rediculous. The TGV should be a smooth ride.No other traffic? It feels like I am the last man on earth. There are a couple of bugs. For example; brakes won't properly release after an emergency braking and at some point the traction lever doesn't work anymore. You can see the amp meter jump back to 0 very quickly. Can be bypassed by using the cruisecontrol, which work sluggish. It's little things that will be fixed... I hope.Of course there are also good things. The sound is done very well. Maybe a bit too quiet though. The traction engines should be heard over the rail noice.Cabin view looks nice. So does the pasenger view.Complex signaling system with tutorial.French routes in the future?I was eagerly awaiting a TGV route but I am a bit disapointed. Especially for the \u20ac30,- I paid. Route's too short and there's isn't much going on. And on top of that the train drives not so well with the shaking and bad brakes. Perhaps a patch someday?. The route is too short for a tgv must be extended
